1908 Bibi Continental opens its first store Rueben & Joseph Bibi were the founders.
1939 Bibi Continental changes its name to Bibi & Company, a Brooklyn manufacturer of fireplace equipment.
1940 Bibi & Company began manufacturing and selling candelabras as an additional product to their fireplace equipment business.
1943 Morris Bibi, one of the founders of Checkolite was drafted into the army.
1944 Morris was appointed corporal (T5 Radio Man). He received 5 battle stars.
1947 Checkolite opens its first office and warehouse in New York.
1952 Checkolite opens a 5000 square foot warehouse in Brooklyn.
1953 Checkolite outsells production in only its sixth year in existence.
1954 Checkolite sold only crystal and hanging pendants.
1958 Checkolite added a new collection to their “line” – Spanish Bronze.
1961 Checkolite moves office to to Jersey City, NJ.
1962 Checkolite opens a New York Showroom on Madison Ave.
1966 Checkolite is incorporated in the State of NJ.
1983 Checkolite Inc. opens its permanent Dallas Showroom in the Dallas Trade Mart.
1985 Checkolite Inc. introduces “mini” halogen pendants.
1986 Checkolite Inc introduces first halogen flushmount.
1987 Checkolite Inc. opens an office in Taiwan, R.O.C.
1988 Checkolite Inc. introduces LIGHTSTYLES division.
1989 Checkolite Inc. becomes CHECKOLITE INTERNATIONAL, INC.
1990 Checkolite International, Inc. builds new executive offices in Jersey City, NJ facility.
1991 Checkolite International, Inc. opens an additional 300,000 sq, ft warehouse in New Jersey.
1992 Checkolite International, Inc. opens warehouses in California and Florida.
1993 Checkolite International, Inc. introduces SPORTSCAST division.
1994 Checkolite international, Inc. incorporates in Hong Kong and opens a fully staffed office to handle product development.                    
1995 Checkolite International, Inc. opens offices in Canada, Mexico, and England.
1996 Checkolite International, Inc. joins A.L.A. (American Lighting Association) and introduces its new HOME DESIGN division. COL receives Price Pfister License.     
1997 Checkolite International, Inc. celebrates its 50th year anniversary!!
1998 Checkolite International, Inc. receives Stanley License.
1999 Checkolite International, Inc. moves into a newly constructed facility in Edison, NJ.
2000 Checkolite International, Inc. enjoys double digit growth
2001 Checkolite International, Inc. enters into outdoor lighting.
2002 Checkolite International, Inc. expands sku count to over 1000.
2003 Checkolite International, Inc. moves back to Jersey City, NJ.
2004 Checkolite International, Inc. receives American Standard and Moen Licenses.
2005 Checkolite International, Inc. receives Delta License. 2007 Checkolite International, Inc. receives iHome License.
